About the Add-on
The Oracle Value Add-on Solution Job Driver significantly reduces traffic on batch servers. Scheduled reports are only started when they are needed. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne processes a multitude of reports every few minutes to quickly process the transaction data generated in day-to-day transactions and to update various tables. With the Oracle Value Add-on Solution Job Driver you can define the appropriate time windows (day of the week, time of day, interval) as well as the serial or parallel processing for selected reports.
Requirements and functionality
The Oracle Value Add-on Solution Job Driver is set up in the standard JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Scheduler. For each driver job, we create our own UDC (User Defined Code). In any UDC created any number of reports can be listed which should be started according to the same rules. In the rules per UDC you define the order in which the reports (name & version) should be started, the time windows (day of the week, time of day, interval) and the serial or parallel processing of the reports (If the reports within a UDC depend on the results of previous reports, serial processing must be set up).
Example: you can run a specific report between 6 and 9 o’clock every 5 minutes and between 9 and 13 o’clock every 15 minutes, in the afternoon from 13 to 20 o’clock only every 30 minutes and at night between 20 and 6 o’clock the job does not run at all.

Customer benefits / value added
The Oracle Value Add-on Solution Job Driver significantly reduces the load on your batch servers. Waiting times for manually started reports of users in the daily business decrease noticeably. In addition, automatically started reports are also processed faster because of the available capacity on your servers.
