Gain valuable time with Microsoft Power Automate
Replace manual processes with automated workflows
In the age of digitalization, the degree of automation in many Swiss SMEs is correspondingly high, and the right ERP system has long been an integral part of everyday work. Nevertheless, digitalizing business processes in modern companies undisputedly represents the greatest potential for optimization and savings. That’s because there are opportunities for automation wherever business software is not (yet) in use and tasks and digital processes are repeated. Even in interfaces between systems, which could previously only be created with complex and rigid software development, there may be potential for optimization.
Suitable (BPM) workflow solutions are already available on the market for numerous process optimizations, for example to streamline the digital accounts payable process. But if these are company-specific or even area-specific requirements, the result of a possible cost/benefit analysis is often sobering. As a result, the potential for automation that has long been identified ends up being thrown away and everyday work remains as inefficient as before.
Microsoft Power Automate – digitalization made easy
With the Microsoft Power Platform, the technology company Microsoft is addressing this exact issue and providing the appropriate tools. Microsoft Power Automate, a cloud-based online tool for creating customized and cross-platform workflows, is all about process automation. This allows anyone to effortlessly automate repetitive, everyday tasks, create low-code flows via drag-and-drop tools and hundreds of pre-built connectors, and execute the respective process.
Power Automate integrates with various Microsoft services and applications, including Power BI, PowerApps, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365. Since there are numerous providers of standard software offer connectors, a wide variety of systems and solutions can be connected to each other. Microsoft Power Platform is open, which allows everyone with a certain affinity for software development to develop company-specific connectors themselves or to access services provided in Microsoft Azure. «This opens up a lot of potential, especially for everyday work in with Exchange, SharePoint or Teams,» explains Thierry Klingler, Project Manager and Consultant at Boss Info, who has already provided a few convenient notification and approval workflows on an ad hoc basis for his customers.
