Boss Info AGM – insight into new strategic direction

On Friday, April 25, the shareholders of Boss Info gathered in Egerkingen for the Annual General Meeting for the 2024 financial year.

Simon Boss, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Boss Info, opened the event with his usual aplomb. He began with a comprehensive, insightful review of 2024 – a year characterized by challenges and demanding decisions.

Despite difficult conditions, Simon Boss and his dedicated team are optimistic about the future. The outlook for 2025 is promising: a clear strategy and targeted measures – particularly in the area of sales – already had a positive impact at the start of the year. «Our values – fairness, a long-term approach, expertise and commitment – remain the stable foundation of our actions. The focus is always on our valued customers,» emphasizes Simon Boss. With great enthusiasm and numerous exciting flagship projects in planning and implementation, he sees Boss Info on a positive course for the future – determined and confident.

All proposals of the Board of Directors were approved

All proposals of the Board of Directors were unanimously approved by the large number of shareholders in attendance. All members of the Board of Directors were re-elected for a further year in office and the actions of the responsible bodies were approved for the 2024 financial year.

The Board of Directors of Boss Info AG is thus still composed as follows: Simon Boss, Jacqueline Boss, Peter Marending and Rolf Roth. The Board of Directors is advised externally for many years by Dr. Josef C. Böck for many years.

Rolf Roth has announced his last year in office as a member of the Board of Directors. The search for a new member of the Board of Directors from 2026 has therefore begun.

Keynote speech on Web3 & Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN)

Once again, the keynote speech met with great interest and was enthusiastically received. Raphael Knechtli, Head of Research & Technology at DCAP AG, was a proven expert on the forward-looking topic of «Web3 & Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN)». Knechtli gave an insight into the potential of DePIN in a lively and highly informative presentation following the Annual General Meeting. He impressively demonstrated how the clever combination of blockchain technologies and token-based incentive systems can enable global crowdsourcing for the construction of decentralized physical infrastructures. «Thanks to blockchain technology, existing Web2 use cases can be connected to Web3 components in a completely new way – leading to greater efficiency, increased transparency and faster global scalability,» explained the expert. He presented the versatility of the DePIN sector, highlighted key areas of application and emphasized the interplay between blockchain, digital assets and token-based incentives. The transformative potential was made particularly clear by two specific case studies, which Knechtli used to make the practical benefits and innovative power of DePIN tangible.

Lively discussions at the aperitif

Many shareholders are very well connected with each other – which is why the aperitif after the Annual General Meeting was a regular and much appreciated part of the program. In a relaxed atmosphere, over a glass of good wine and a lavish aperitif riche, there were lively discussions, philosophizing and new contacts were made.
