The food industry has undergone significant changes in recent years. The butcher shop Simperl, a medium-sized traditional business from Gümligen, also responded to changing customer behavior and adapted its business structure accordingly. Instead of relying on a physical retail store, the company now focuses on online and telephone sales as well as supplying the hospitality sector and large customers. This realignment required comprehensive digitalization of business processes. With Boss Info, who has supported Simperl AG since 2012, this project was successfully carried out.
Simperl AG didn’t want a one-size-fits-all solution but a system tailored to the industry that incorporates practical experience. Boss Info offers exactly that. The foundation is Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, on top of which Boss Info’s industry solution bossFood is implemented. This solution has been expanded to include the individual wishes and needs of Simperl AG, other butcheries, and the Swiss Meat Association.

At the start, Simperl AG had concerns about the cloud migration and the performance of the new solution. The key priorities were: no data loss and fast order entry in the new system. Thanks to new high-performance hardware and a well-planned rollout, the implementation went smoothly.
bossFood enables Simperl AG to work in a whole new way and provides a solid foundation for future developments. The company doesn’t want to stand still but is already planning the next steps together with Boss Info. In the medium term, accounts payable workflows are set to be improved with AI support. And finally, the weekly promotional price list will also be integrated into the system automatically.
